‘no training required’ is an improvisational performance piece which is entirely dependent upon audience participation. Constructed around the theory that every living body is a body that is already dancing, it aims to highlight this. By presenting the audience with a predetermined and consented to list of directives, and welcoming them to shout them at the performer at any time, it asks the audience to witness and engage with simple day to day actions as dance, and eventually, performance.

There have been 3 iterations of this work to date.

Not only can this work be presented in any setting and in varying lengths / configurations, but it can also be performed by anyone, which is something that I hope for as it evolves and grows.
